Bush Tomato: also known by its Aboriginal name akudjura, is a small, round fruit with a strong flavour and smell. Initially distinctively raisin or caramel in flavour, bush tomato has a strong spicy aftertaste. It thrives in the central deserts of the Northern Territory and South Australia. These fruits are rich in minerals, especially potassium, and are also high in Vitamin C.
Finger Limes: Used as a valuable source of food and medicine by First Nations peoples for thousands of years, finger limes grow in Australian rainforests and sub-tropical climates. Known as the “caviar of the citrus family,” they have small sour pearls that add a unique touch to meals.
